Eight Selected Reading Challenges 2012

I didn't do very well with some challenges this year. But I will do my very best in 2012. All in all I participate in X challenges and x of them are really challenging for me. Here you can give you an overview of the challenges, I participate:

100+ Books In A Year
100+ Books in A Year is hosted by Book Chick City, one of my favorite book blogs. This challenge goes without saying, you have to read 100+ books in 2012.

At present I've read 104 books, so this challenge will be the right for me. I surley be able to read 125 books.

2012 Ebook Challenge
Sarah at Workaday Reads has won the lottery to host the official eBook Reading Challenge for 2012.

The last year I've bought or got for review some ebooks and maybe it will be more. But I still do not know, if I approve buying more ebooks or not. So I decided to join at Floppy-Disk-Level - the commitment to read 5 eBooks in 2012.

2012 TBR PILE Reading Challenge
Evie at Evie-Bookish is one Host of the 2012 TBR Pile Reading Challenge. We all have those books. We buy them, win them, they're gifted to us.. Then we put them up on a bookshelf and there they stay, collecting dust, waiting for the time when we'll finally decide to pick them up...

There are five levels to choose. At present my TBR Pile is about 80 books and I've chose A Sweet Kiss-Level. So I have to read 21-30 books of my TBR Pile. I hope for more, but I'm not sure.

Horror & Urban Fantasy Challenge 2012
Carolyn and Laura, the two brit chicks of Book Chick City, host the Horror & Urban Fantasy Challenge 2012. I still have some books in both genres on my shelf or rather on my wishlist, so I decided to run this challenge. I'm looking forward to read some new-to-me-authors in both genres. Back to the topic, there are two levels. Either you read 24 or 48 horror & urban fantasy novels in 2012 and I will read 24.

Mystery & Suspense Reading Challenge 2012
The Mystery & Suspence Reading Challenge 2012 is hosted by Book Chick City. This year I've read a lot of mystery and suspence books. For the new year I will do the same. There are two levels you can choose: Either you read 12 or 24 novels in these categories. I took my choice and I'm going to read 12 mystery & suspense novels in 2012.

New Author Challenge 2012
Melissa blogs on Literary Escapism and is hosting her 4th annual New Authors Reading Challenge. The idea behind this is to find new authors that you’ve never tried before, not necessarily ones that are debuting. They can be in your genre of choice or be brave and try something new. You never know what you’re going to like until you try it.

After I realized that I will fail to finished the Debut-Challenge 2011/2012, I found this amazing challenge. And that's doable! So My goal is to read 25 new-to-me-authors.

Speculative Romance Challenge 2012
Book Chick City host the Speculative Romance Challenge 2012. Over the last year I found my addiction for paranormal and urban fantasy and I heart romance novels. So I think this will be an amazing challenge for me. Well under the rules you can choose four levels. I chose Two Sexy Werewolves - a commitment to read 12 Speculative Romance novels in 2012.

Zombie Challenge 2012
The Zombie Challenge 2012 is another amazing challenge hosted by Book Chick City. Usually I don't read about them, but the button looked so awesome (LoL) and I'm looking forward to try something new. True to the motto "You never know what you’re going to like until you try it"!

You can also choose between several (four) levels again. I took the easiest level, One Chomp - a commitment to read 6 Zombie books in 2012.

Well you can see I chose many challenges for the new year but I'm looking forward to start with them on January 1st - yeah!
